BluePen AI is a screen-free AI tutoring system. It pairs a Bluetooth-enabled smart pen with a companion mobile app. Students click the pen, ask a question aloud in their own language, and receive an instant, curriculum-aligned audio explanation through their earphones while writing in their own notebook. No screen time, no distractions.

Students from Class 6 to Class 12 who need after-school study support. It is also suitable for university students and professional exam candidates. Parents, teachers, schools, and NGOs can all use it.

Currently supported: Maharashtra State Board, CBSE, and Telangana State Board for Classes 6 to 12. Coming soon: German Lehrplan (by Bundesland), ICSE, and Karnataka State Board.

English, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada at launch. German language support is in active development for our European users. The app includes automatic language detection — students can speak in any supported language and the AI responds accordingly.

The kit includes one BluePen AI Bluetooth pen with built-in microphone and earphones, a quick-start guide, and a USB charging cable. The companion app is a free download from Google Play.

The pen connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Open the BluePen AI app, tap "Pair Pen", and follow the on-screen instructions. Pairing takes less than 30 seconds.

Yes. The pen charges via USB-C and lasts approximately 8 to 10 hours on a single charge, more than enough for a full evening of study.

A basic mobile data connection (3G or above) or Wi-Fi is required for AI processing, as tutoring responses are generated in real-time. The app is optimised for low-bandwidth connections in remote locations.

Concept Cracker: Explains difficult topics from scratch in simple terms with examples and analogies.

Task Master: Helps complete homework and assignments step-by-step, guiding without giving away answers directly.

Testing Coach: Runs MCQ practice sessions with scoring, timing, and explanations for wrong answers.

Yes. Content is mapped to the exact syllabus and textbook chapters for each supported board. We upload official textbook PDFs and train the AI to respond strictly within the curriculum. The AI does not generate generic internet answers. It teaches what is in the student's book.

Within a session, yes. The AI maintains context so follow-up questions work naturally. Between sessions, the AI does not retain conversation history, but the app tracks which topics and chapters the student has studied.

Parents receive a WhatsApp notification after every study session, including the subject studied, duration, and topics covered. The app also provides a parent dashboard with weekly progress reports, study streaks, and areas where the child needs more support.

Parents can set the class, board, and subjects during setup. Content is restricted to curriculum-aligned material only. The AI cannot be used for non-educational purposes.

No. BluePen AI is strictly curriculum-focused. The AI is trained to respond only to educational queries within the student's syllabus. Any off-topic or inappropriate queries are politely declined. There are no chat features, social networking, or user-generated content in the app.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Voice queries are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers. We do not sell, share, or use student data for advertising. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

No. Voice queries are streamed to our AI for real-time processing and discarded after the response is generated. We do not store audio recordings or create voice profiles.

Yes. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 and are designed to meet GDPR requirements for our European users. We do not engage in behavioural advertising or profiling of minors.

BluePen AI works on Android 8.0 and above. The phone must support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), which includes virtually all smartphones made after 2016.

1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and the pen is charged.
2. Open the BluePen AI app and tap "Pair Pen".
3. Hold the pen button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (the LED will blink blue).
4. If it still does not connect, restart both the pen and the app, then try again.
5. If the problem persists, contact [email protected].

This is usually caused by a weak internet connection. Try switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi or moving to an area with better signal. If the problem persists, force-close the app and reopen it. Contact [email protected] if the issue continues.

The pen is the primary input device. However, you can also use the app's built-in voice button on your phone as a backup if the pen is being charged or is unavailable.

BluePen AI is built by GPU Tech Private Limited (founded June 2025), co-founded by Kushagra Kumar (CTO) and Vaibhav Ghodeswar (CEO, MBA London).
